What is Shintoism?
Shintoism is a Japanese religion that focuses on worshiping spirits that reside in both animate and inanimate objects. It is also a belief in sacred power. Ancestors are a large part of Shintoism, and their spirits are largely respected. Everything in nature has a spirit, i.e. trees, animals, and even the water in streams, and all of the spirits are largely feared and respected. Shintoism encourages sincerity, growth, and prosperity. Shinto is the largest religion in Japan, practiced by over 80% of the population.

Re: What is Shintoism?
If no one else has any suggestions, I would like to watch Kyoukai no Kanata as the anime showing Shintoism. Here is the first episode if you want to check it out before we collaborate on Wednesday in club.
